Kansas City area maintenance work for Sept. 21-25

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from September 21 until September 25. All work is weather permitting.

JACKSON COUNTY

Interstate 35 northbound ramp to 14th St. (Exit 2v): ramp closed on Tuesday, Sept. 22, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., for safety barrier work.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Route D between U.S. Route 50 and Missouri Route 23: flagging operations on Monday, Sept. 21, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

Route FF between 50 Hwy and Route NN: flagging operations on Monday, Sept. 21 and Tuesday, Sept. 22, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for seal coating.

Route P between 50 Hwy and end of state maintenance: flagging operations on Tuesday, Sept. 22 and Wednesday, Sept. 23, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., seal coating.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY

Missouri Route 131 at various locations: flagging operations from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement work.

• Monday, Sept. 21 and Tuesday, Sept. 22: between U.S. Route 50 and Route H
• Wednesday, Sept. 23 and Thursday, Sept. 24: between Interstate 70 and U.S. Route 24

RAY COUNTY

Route O between Missouri Route 210 and Missouri Route 10: flagging operations on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement work.

Route EE between Route 210 and Route 10: flagging operations on Thursday, Sept. 24, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement work.

MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, sign repairs, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
