The National Bank of Cambodia officially launched the Financial Sector Development Strategy 2025-2030 under the high presidency of H.E. Dr. Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, and H.E. Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia and Chair of the Steering Committee for Financial Sector Development, together with Mr. Vijay Kumar Akasam, Head of Country Operations for Cambodia of the Asian Development Bank, on 17 December 2025.

The Financial Sector Development Strategy 2025-2030 is the fourth update of this strategic document since its initial launch in 2001, with technical assistance from the Asian Development Bank, to respond to the continuous evolution of economic and financial conditions.

In connection with this milestone, senior officials from the National Bank of Cambodia, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia, and the Association of Banks in Cambodia also participated in a panel discussion entitled "Building the Future: A Roadmap for Cambodia's Financial Sector". The discussion aimed to share information and perspectives with participants, under the moderation of senior experts from the Asian Development Bank, as part of this significant event.
