Dinner Is Almost Served: Netflix Unveils Official Trailer for 'The Perfect Lie'

Tensions are rising in The Perfect Lie . Netflix today unveils the official trailer for the new Dutch drama series, based on the bestselling novel The Dinner Club by Saskia Noort. Where the first-look images offered a brief glimpse behind the façade, the trailer now offers a gripping look at the seemingly perfect - and slowly crumbling - lives of a tight-knit group of friends.

Luxurious dinners, fine wines and carefully curated evenings are gradually undermined by distrust, deception and betrayal. What appears to be an enviable lifestyle begins to unravel, turning into a dangerous game in which everyone has something to hide and something to lose. How far will they go to protect their secrets, and who can they really trust when the truth comes to the surface? The Perfect Lie is created by head writer Dorien Goertzen with Jop Esmeijer as co-writer. The series stars Loes Haverkort, Remko Vrijdag, Noortje Herlaar, Edwin Jonker, Rifka Lodeizen, Matthijs van de Sande Bakhuyzen, Charlie-Chan Dagelet and Teun Luijkx. The show is produced by Fiction Valley and directed by Dana Nechushtan and Margien Rogaar.

The seven-part drama series The Perfect Lie will launch on 10 September 2026 and will be available globally on Netflix.

About The Perfect Lie

When Karen moves with her family to Bergen, they are warmly welcomed into the dinner club, a seductive group of friends who fully indulge in an extravagant and hedonistic lifestyle. Until one of the luxurious villas goes up in flames, and their friend Evert is killed. His wife and children barely survive. Karen soon discovers that their close friendship is held together by lies. Everyone has something to hide. Nothing is what it seems. So Karen sets out in search of the truth, but at what cost?
