Service changes for the Cesar Chavez Day holiday

Lakewood City Hall will be closed Monday, March 31 in observance of Cesar Chavez Day.

Service changes

  • Trash pickup will occur as usual.
  • No street sweeping and no makeup sweep.
  • No DASH transit service available.

Parking enforcement

There will be NO street sweeping-related parking enforcement on Monday, March 31.

Parking enforcement will continue for non-street-sweeping related violations, such as parking in red zones or blocking sidewalks.

When City Hall is closed

Report a non-emergency issue:

  • Call and leave a message for the customer service staff at 562-866-9771, extension 2140.
  • Send an email to service1@lakewoodca.gov. They will answer messages on the next business day.
  • Submit a non-emergency service request online at www.lakewoodca.gov/service.
  • Use the Lakewood Connect app for your smartphone to report an issue.

For emergency city service requests, such as:

  • Downed tree limbs
  • Water main leaks

Call 562-866-9771 and follow recorded instructions to page a 24-hour city emergency staff worker.
