The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) is launching the first ABU AI Forum, set to take place on 23-24 July 2025 at the Grand Skylight Hotel Royal Beijing, China. This landmark event will bring together global minds to explore the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on broadcasting, media, and communication.
Organised by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) and co-hosted by the Radio and Television of the People's Republic of China (RTPRC) and China Broadcasting International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co., Ltd. (CBIC), the ABU AI Forum will convene a dynamic mix of broadcasters, technology innovators, policymakers, and academics from across the Asia-Pacific and beyond. The event will feature panel discussions (AI Exchange), thematic presentations, and a hands-on masterclass, offering a dynamic platform to explore the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on the media landscape.
The ABU AI Forum is the Union's first dedicated initiative on AI, designed to address the growing need for inclusive, responsible, and future-oriented AI practices in media and communication. The two-day event will serve as a space for thoughtful dialogue, cross-sector collaboration, and practical insight-sharing on real-world applications and strategic developments in AI.
Participants of the forum will also receive VIP access to the Beijing International Radio, TV & Film Exhibition (BIRTV) - one of Asia's leading broadcast and media technology exhibitions - held next to the forum venue at the China International Exhibition Centre (Chaoyang). BIRTV offers a comprehensive showcase of cutting-edge technologies and innovations shaping the future of media production and broadcasting.
The ABU AI Forum is set to become a key platform for members and partners to connect, exchange knowledge, and shape the trajectory of AI across the region's media industry.
