EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Mathernova and Head of the Regional Hub for Eastern Europe Kristina Mikulova tested new trolleybuses that have been running on routes in Ivano-Frankivsk since early April.

These nine low-floor trolleybuses were financed by the European Investment Bank and an EU grant, with a total investment of over €3.6 million.

They make travel more accessible for residents and connect areas that previously had no electric transport. The trolleybuses can run up to 15 km without overhead lines and continue operating even during power outages.

EU Del to Ukraine

This is part of a broader programme to modernise urban transport in Ukrainian cities, implemented by the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine with EU support.
