Commission meetings and hearings

No open meetings or executive sessions were scheduled this week.

Litigation

Llop v. FEC (Case No. 26-51) On June 17, Plaintiff filed an Opposition to Defendant's Motion to Dismiss in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

National Republican Senatorial Committee, et al. v. FEC, et al. (Case No. 24-621) On June 30, the U.S. Supreme Court issued an Opinion that held that the coordinated party expenditure limits of the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, as amended, codified at 52 U.S.C. ยง 30116(d), violate the First Amendment.

Seegers v. FEC (Case No. 26-276) On May 20, Plaintiff filed a Response to Defendant's Notice of Lack of Quorum and Opposition to Any Stay in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

Public Disclosure

On July 1, the Office of the Inspector General released a report on Results of Pandemic Benefits Review.

Upcoming reporting due dates

July 15: July Quarterly Reports are due. For more information, see the 2026 Quarterly Reporting schedule.

July 20: July Monthly Reports are due. For more information, see the 2026 Monthly Reporting schedule.

The Commission has posted information regarding reporting deadlines as some states reschedule congressional primary elections to account for redistricting.

The Commission has posted filing information regarding the Georgia 13th District Special General Election, scheduled for July 28, 2026, and Special Runoff Election (if necessary), scheduled for August 25, 2026.

The Commission has posted filing information regarding the California 14th District Special Runoff Election, scheduled for August 18, 2026.

Contribution Limits: In addition to the current limits, the Commission has posted an archive of contribution limits that were in effect going back to the 1975-1976 election cycles.

Federal election results are available. The data was compiled from the official vote totals published by state election offices.

The Combined Federal State Disclosure and Election Directory is available. This publication identifies the federal and state agencies responsible for the disclosure of campaign finances, lobbying, personal finances, public financing, candidates on the ballot, election results, spending on state initiatives, and other financial filings.

The Presidential Election Campaign Fund Tax Checkoff Chart provides information on balance of the Fund, monthly deposits into the Fund reported by the Department of the Treasury, payments from the Fund as certified by the FEC, and participation rates of taxpayers as reported by the Internal Revenue Service.
