Spectrum Business Navigates New York City Shipyard’s Digital Transformation

Caddell Dry Dock chose to add a second high-speed Dedicated Fiber Internet circuit to expand connectivity across its entire worksite. They now use Spectrum Business' full suite of services, including Ring Central, an easy, all-in-one communications app to make voice calls, texts, video conferencing and file transfers across multiple devices. Spectrum crews worked around dock equipment, ship parts and construction machinery to complete the fiber expansion.

To protect the business, its employees and its customers, several cameras were installed to monitor security across the dock. Adding Managed Network Edge offered Caddell a customized solution that provides a seamless experience and simplifies managing its network.

These upgraded services have made Caddell's workflows simpler and more efficient. Employees can now easily connect to WiFi, allowing them to communicate with each other over cloud services instead of radios. And a high-tech solution replaced physical timecard verification, boosting security and efficiency by eliminating the need for employees to line up to clock out.

"We have more devices hooked up to the network than ever and have the speed we need to get things done," said Sal. "This is a building block for us, and Spectrum Business is building out our technology infrastructure."
