Take the Survey! 19th Ave/Fashion Island Blvd Multimodal Improvement Project

Thank you for taking this survey. The City of San Mateo and San Mateo County Transportation Authority (SMCTA) are seeking input on the 19th Avenue/Fashion Island Boulevard Multimodal Improvement Project to better understand challenges along the corridor and gather feedback on early design details.

Project Overview:
This next phase aims to improve safety and accessibility-especially for people walking and biking-between the 19th Avenue near the Hayward Park Caltrain Station and the intersection of Mariners Island Blvd and Fashion Island Blvd.

Background:
In 2024, the City and SMCTA completed the planning phase, which included community feedback on design options for bike lanes, pedestrian upgrades, and vehicle flow. A preferred design was selected based on public input.

Why Your Input Matters:
Your feedback will help refine the design that will be shared later this summer for additional public input before finalizing plans for construction expected to begin next year.
