China: China Publishes Draft Amendments to E-Commerce Law
On July 4, 2026, China published draft amendments to its E-Commerce Law for public comment. The proposed amendments if adopted would strengthen China's oversight of e-commerce platforms and expand enforcement tools. The domestic comment period closed on August 4, 2026 and China has not notified the amendments to the World Trade Organization. This report provides an unofficial translation of the proposed amendments.
