Here is a look at each recipient:

Marthaline Cooper '17 (track & field/2014-17) - One of the most decorated student-athletes in the history of Winthrop track & field, Cooper earned All-America honors four times and was a six-time Big South champion. She earned her first Big South title in 2014 at the Big South Outdoor Championship in the hammer throw and proceeded to do so again in 2015 and 2016. In 2015 Cooper earned her first indoor title in the weight throw and proceeded to do so again in 2016 and 2017. In 2015 she was voted the Big South Conference Outdoor Track & Field Most Outstanding Field Performer and earned the same honor at the 2016 and 2017 Big South Championships. Cooper qualified for the 2016 and 2017 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship and the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship in 2015 and 2016. Her best finish was 3rd place in the hammer throw at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Jacob Dempsey '07 (baseball/2004-07) - As one of the top run producers in program history, Dempsey helped lead the team to a Big South Conference Championship in 2005 and NCAA Regional appearances in 2005 and 2006. Dempsey is a two-time All-Big South First Team selection and earned multiple All-America honors including ABCA All-American First Team, NCBWA All-American First Team, and Baseball America All-America Second Team. Dempsey is one of nine players in program history to bat .400 or better in a single-season, and in 2006 he set the program record for RBI with 78. That season he also became the first Eagle in program history to have 100 hits for a single season. He is still the all-time leader in doubles and ranks 2nd in total bases and RBI, 3rd in home runs, 4th in runs, 4th in triples, 4th in walks and is 5th all-time in hits. The Philadelphia Phillies drafted him in 2006 in the 21st round.

Krystyna Freda '15 (women's soccer/2011-14) - A two-time Big South Conference Attacking Player of the Year, Freda still is the all-time leader in goals and points in league history. The four-time Big South All-Conference selection was voted to the Big South Conference All-Decade Team for 2010-19. Freda scored 63 goals in her career (10 more than any other player in league history) and finished with 144 points (16 more points than the next player). She is also tied for the most game-winning goals (20) in league history. In addition to her all-conference honors, she was named NSCAA All-Region four straight seasons.

Following her collegiate career, Freda competed on the professional level, including as a member of the Cyprus National Team where she served as captain. Freda currently plays for Apollon Ladies FC in the Cypriot First Division.

Jack Frost (administrator/1990-2017) - For 27 years, Frost guided the Winthrop Athletics communications efforts. He began his career as the sports information director and later became the assistant athletic director for media relations. During his tenure, he brought the worldwide web to Winthrop Athletics, becoming the first Big South Conference school to have an athletic website.

Frost jump started the idea for the Big South Conference All-Decade Teams and worked with Assistant Commissioner Mark Simpson to implement the selection process.

In 2002 Frost proposed the establishment of the Winthrop Athletics Hall of Fame, wrote the bylaws, established criteria and following its adoption in 2003, he spent 14 years on the Hall of Fame nominating committee. Frost directed the publicity efforts for nine NCAA men's basketball appearances, one trip to the WNIT (women's basketball) and one NCAA women's basketball tournament. He also took time to nominate players in each sport for various academic and athletic honors.

Henry Kalungi '09 (men's soccer/2006-08) - Kalungi was a three-time Big South All-Conference selection and three-time NSCAA All-Region selection. He played a key role for the 2006 and 2008 Big South Conference Championship teams as a defender. In three seasons he played in 56 games with 55 starts and finished with five goals and three assists. During his tenure the Eagles were 41-13-8 overall and 14-5-2 in the Big South. In 2009 he was drafted by the Colorado Rapids (MLS) in the MLS SuperDraft. He played professionally from 2009-14 for the Richmond Kickers of the USL and made 113 appearances.

Kalungi was also a member of the Ugandan National Team and was called up for national team duty in 2011 and 2012 for World Cup qualifying. While he made a huge impact in the game of soccer, possibly his biggest impact has been the work of the Henry Kalungi Foundation which he founded in 2016. Its mission is to transform Uganda one child at a time and invests in hope, resource and opportunity in children to change their lives and transform their community.

Erin Lehman '02 (volleyball/1998-2001) - A four-time Big South All-Conference selection, Lehman finished her career as the program's all-time leader in kills (1,505) and digs (1,522). Her record for digs still stands and is more than 200 than the next player, and she's currently 6th all-time in kills. Lehman is one of only two Winthrop players to be a four-time all-conference selection. She became the program's first 1,000 kill, 1,000 dig performer in a career. She also ranks among the all-time leaders in service aces, career points and total attacks.

In 2001 she set the single-season record for digs with 463, which still ranks among the Top 10. In 2000, she helped the team earn the program's second title game appearance. Lehman was also named to the 2001 Big South All-Tournament Team and the 2000 Big South All-Academic Team.

Daniel Revivo '09 (men's soccer/2005-08) - One of the more decorated players in the history of the program, Revivo was a three-time Big South First Team All-Conference selection and two-time NSCAA All-Region selection. In 2008 he also earned NSCAA All-American and College Soccer News All-American honors. In 2006 he helped the Eagles earn a Big South Championship, scoring a hat trick in the title game and earning Big South Tournament Most Valuable Player honors. In 2008, Revivo netted the golden goal in double overtime to lead Winthrop over Coastal Carolina for the Big South Championship (the 2nd in three seasons). In 2008 Revivo was named to the Herman Trophy Watch List for national player of the year. He set the career record for goals by an Eagle at the NCAA Division 1 level with 50 and ranks 3rd all-time in program history in career points. Revivo was voted to the Big South All-Decade Team for the 2000-09 span.
