From Soft Landing to Permanent Home: RSGS Expands in Macomb County

Rafael Systems Global Sustainment (RSGS) has transitioned from a tenant in Macomb County's International Landing Zone (ILZ) at Velocity to a permanent home at the Defense Corridor Center for Collaboration and Synergy (DC3S) in Sterling Heights. The move represents exactly how the ILZ is intended to work: attracting companies to the region, helping them build local connections and creating a pathway toward long-term investment in Macomb County.

DC3S, the Defense Corridor Center for Collaboration and Synergy, provides RSGS with a permanent home in the heart of Macomb County's defense corridor. The location allows the company to remain close to key government partners, defense contractors and suppliers while continuing to grow its Michigan operations.

Macomb County Planning and Economic Development worked closely with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), Office of Defense and Aerospace Innovation (ODAI) to help RSGS secure office space at Velocity, and then once again at DC3S. The County also supported the company throughout the relocation process by connecting its leadership with programs and resources designed to assist with hiring and workforce growth.

The company's progression from the ILZ to a permanent Macomb County location is an economic development success. It demonstrates what can be achieved when local, county and state partners work together. Not simply to attract a business, but to give it the foundation needed to remain and grow in the community.
