CPSC Warns Consumers to Stop Using PidmFoy Portable Bed Rails Immediately Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Entrapment and Asphyxiation; Violates Mandatory Standard[...]

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to stop using PidmFoy bed rails immediately because they violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails , posing a deadly risk of entrapment and asphyxiation. When the bed rails are attached to a bed, users can become entrapped within the bed rail, or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress. In addition, the bed rails do not meet the structural stability or retention strap requirements, posing a fall hazard.

CPSC urges consumers to stop using the bed rails immediately and dispose of them. Do not sell or give away these hazardous products.

CPSC issued a Notice of Violation to the seller, Yulin Experimental Technology Co., Ltd., doing business as PidmFoy, of China. PidmFoy has not agreed to recall these bed rails or offer a remedy to consumers.

This warning involves PidmFoy bed rails. The black and silver metal bed rails measure about 12.5 inches wide and 41 inches tall; and weigh about 6.6 pounds and have extendable handles and legs and a mesh bag. "PidmFoy" is printed on the bag and on the product packaging.
