Tuesday, July 15, 2025 - Over the weekend, Slightly Stoopid brought their signature summer vibes to Texas for a three-night run on their Step Into The Sunsummer headlining tour. With performances in Houston, Austin, and Irving, the band delivered high-energy sets featuring material from their upcoming album, including their latest single " Step Into The Sun ," their forthcoming new single "The Upside Down" (dropping this Friday July 18), alongside fan favorites including the classics "Collie Man" and "2AM."
Known for their spontaneous, anything-can-happen live shows, the band capped the Texas run with a viral moment during their set at The Pavilion in Irving. Slightly Stoopid singer Kyle McDonald stunned the crowd when he lit a joint using an onstage laser mid-performance during the song "No Cocaine," a stunt that left fans in awe and quickly lit up social media . The clip is already making the rounds online and generating buzz across the fan community.
Slightly Stoopid also used the Texas shows to give back, donating a portion of proceeds to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, which supports recovery efforts following the devastating floods that hit the region earlier this month.
The Step Into The Sun tour continues through August, with upcoming stops at Brighter Daze Fest, headlining dates in Salt Lake City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Santa Barbara, and a highly anticipated return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO.
