UW–Oshkosh Alumni Board elects eight new members
What's new: The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Alumni Association's board of directors elected eight new members who began their service July 1.
Why it matters: The 20-member volunteer board works to build connections among alumni, students and the University.
The newly-elected board members:
Forrest Buck, of Chippewa Falls, who earned a degree in human services leadership in 2015, is the director of career development & first year experience at Chippewa Valley Technical College
Zoe Dahse, of Vienna, Austria, who earned a degree in international studies and political science in 2021, is associate project officer for the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)
Jessica (Zemlicka) Lund, of Oshkosh, who earned a degree in journalism in 2017 is a marketing specialist at WIDA, UW-Madison
Oceana Martinez, of Waupaca, who earned a human services leadership degree in 2018 is Compliance Coordinator with Noble Community Clinics
Karen (Knudson) Stepanek, of Oshkosh, who earned a human services leadership degree in 2013 and an MS in Educational Leadership in 2015 is an enrollment manager at Arizona State University
Aaron Prater, of Fox Point, who earned a degree in economics in 2007 is the chief operating officer of Tri City National Bank, Milwaukee
Steven Steinert, of Waukesha, who earned a degree in psychology in 2014 and an MS in psychology in 2017 is a forensic psychologist at Behavioral Consultants, Inc. & The Wisconsin Forensic Unit, Waukesha
Joy Wick, of Wrightstown, earned a degree in journalism in 1998 and is the community relations and development manager at Fox Valley Technical College
They said it: "I want to help grow the great pride UWO alumni have and raise awareness for the great education I received," said Wick.
Three members were re-elected:
Joe Ackerman, of Appleton, BBA '12, VP of commercial lending, Co-Vantage Credit Union
Teresa (Parker) Kajian, of Oshkosh, BBA '02, Owner, Crossroads Technical Consulting, LLC
Nate Michael, of Oshkosh, BBA '11, Director of Operations, Plexus Corp.
Leadership: 2025-26 officers are Melanie Cross '10 president, Jenny Damask '06 vice president and Terleen Cheslock '98 secretary/treasurer.

Kevin Jaklin, '85 and '95 MBA
Estefania Mulvey Videla '09
Background: Board of directors meetings are held on the Oshkosh campus, and board membership is open to all members of the Alumni Association who are excited about the University's past, present and future. All candidates are elected through a nomination process, with members serving three-year terms.
