MoDOT to close bridge on West Rock Creek Road over Route 21 in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY- Motorists should seek alternate routes starting Monday, October 14 as crews close the bridge on West Rock Creek Road over Route 21 in Jefferson County.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will complete bridge repair work, requiring a full closure of this bridge to elevate the bridge deck and replace concrete that supports the end of the bridge.

The work will begin Monday after morning rush hour and is expected to be completed by late February 2025. To assist drivers, electronic message boards will be in place near the closure. All work is weather permitting.

This work is a part of the Missouri Route 21 Pavement Resurfacing project in Jefferson County. This work includes rehabilitating or redecking 17 bridges along Route 21 in Jefferson County between the Meramec River northwest of Arnold and Schenk Road near Otto.
