Full nighttime closure of Sawmill Rd June 25, other road repair work continues throughout city

As part of the City of Flagstaff's annual Road Repair and Street Safety Program, C & E Paving and Grading is conducting road repair and maintenance work throughout the city. Specific upcoming projects and impacts include a full nighttime closure of Sawmill Rd and pavement markings, utility lowering and concrete work on various streets.

Sawmill Rd closure

Sawmill Rd will be closed between Kensington Dr and Seville Ln Wednesday, June 25 between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. for utility work. Through traffic will need to detour utilizing the marked route on Seville Ln, Barrow Ave, and Kensington Dr. Access to the Coconino County Detention Facility and Juvenile facility will be maintained.

Pavement marking and utility lowering operations

During the week of June 23, lane shifts and single lane closures may be present as needed on the following roads for pavement marking and utility lowering work: Needles St, Beulah Blvd, Kendrick St, Leroux St, O'Leary St, San Francisco St, Verde St, William Rd, Switzer Canyon Dr, Stevanna Way, Lucky Ln, Timberline Rd, Kaspar Dr, and Lynch Ave.

Concrete work

Concrete repair work will necessitate shoulder closures on the following roads:

  • William Rd - June 23 - 24
  • Leroux St (Butler to Benton) - June 23 - 25
  • Kendrick St (Butler to Benton) - June 26 - July 2
