Interested in being a Fulbright Scholar?
On Wednesday, March 4 at 4 p.m. via Zoom, the Office of Global Engagement will hold an information session for Western faculty about the Fulbright Scholars Program.
Fulbright U.S. Scholar awards offer opportunities for faculty who hold U.S. citizenship to conduct research, teach, and engage in professional projects in more than 130 countries. Academic departments can host Visiting Scholars from around the world and apply to Fulbright's Outreach Lecturing Fund to bring Visiting Scholars already in the U.S. to campus for guest lectures.
Please join U.S. Fulbright Scholar recipient Jason Query (Department of Economics) as he speaks about his recent experience in Japan. Mark Greenberg and Ryan Larsen, Western's Fulbright Liaisons, will offer more information about the various Fulbright awards as well as the university's support for faculty who wish to participate in Fulbright programs. The application deadline for U.S. Scholars who wish to be abroad in the 2027-2028 academic year is September 15, 2026.
To learn more, visit Fulbright Opportunities on the GEO website or email Mark Greenberg.
