Bellevue Fiesta Latina Oct. 4 at Spring District Park

Published September 24 2025

In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, the City of Bellevue invites the community to "Bellevue Fiesta Latina" on Saturday, Oct. 4, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at Spring District Park. Travel throughout a musical experience while enjoying a variety of Latin American cuisines from local food vendors and exploring booths hosted by community organizations serving the Latino community.

Bellevue Fiesta Latina will feature a pop-up market, which will remain open for the entire event. The Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra will present a "Celebrating Latin America" concert 3-4:15 p.m.

Spring District Park, 12167 NE 14th Terrace, is just steps away from the Spring District light rail station. Both the concert and market are free for all ages. Registration is encouraged.

Bellevue Fiesta Latina and Hispanic Heritage month provide an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the integral role that Latin American countries have played in shaping Bellevue and the United States. Latinos comprise 9% of Bellevue's population. Alongside other communities of color, they help make up 60% of Bellevue's population of 155,000.

National Hispanic Heritage Month began as a week-long observance in 1968 and was expanded to a full month by President Ronald Reagan in 1988. The period celebrated is Sept. 15-Oct.15, with Sept. 15 and other dates in that period coinciding with the independence days of several Latin American countries.

The City Council issued a Sept. 16 proclamation to formally recognize National Hispanic Heritage Month in Bellevue. For more information on the Bellevue Fiesta Latina event, contact Emily Sherman at [email protected] or 425-452-4270.
