BISMARCK, N.D. - The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced the award of $7,508,314 for the following programs and initiatives across North Dakota:

  • $2,697,431 to the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services (NDHHS) to enhance the state's efforts to prevent and respond to vaccine-preventable diseases.
  • $2,143,709 to NDHHS to support cancer prevention and control programs.
  • $982,495 to NDHHS for efforts supporting cardiovascular health.
  • $850,000 to NDHHS for diabetes prevention of at-risk populations.
  • $420,000 to the University of North Dakota to support the operation and maintenance of the North Dakota Cancer Registry.
  • $310,211 to North Dakota State University to advance biomedical research and strengthen research training.
  • $104,468 to NDHHS to advance tuberculosis prevention across the state.
