City of Montgomery Announces Bid Opportunities for Demolition Projects

The City of Montgomery Procurement Department is inviting qualified contractors to participate in two exciting opportunities to support community development through demolition projects. These initiatives are part of our ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and create space for future growth.

Project 1: Demolition of 1110 West South Boulevard

• Project Number: RAA Project #25-009
• Description: Complete demolition and removal of the existing building and associated site improvements at 1110 West South Boulevard, including structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting:

Project 2: Demolition of 4243 Inn South Avenue

• Project Number: RAA Project #25-010
• Description: Complete demolition and removal of a two-story, 42,000-square-foot commercial hotel building at 4243 Inn South Avenue, including all architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting:
  Date: February 12, 2025
  Time: 11:30 AM
  Location: On-site at 4243 Inn South Avenue, Montgomery, AL 36105
• Bid Submission Deadline: February 19, 2025 @ 2:30 PM

Important Requirements

• All bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting for each project they intend to bid on.
• Compliance with the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act (§31-13-1 et seq.) is required.
• Bidders must provide an E-Verify Affidavit and maintain appropriate insurance coverage.
