SFFD Alternative Response Unit Receives Behavioral Health Star Award

The Santa Fe Fire Department's Mobile Integrated Health - Alternative Response Unit (ARU) has been selected as a recipient of the Behavioral Health Star Award, presented by the Behavioral Health Planning Council and sponsored by the Behavioral Health Services Department (BHSD) and the New Mexico Health Care Authority.

This award recognizes the ARU for its outstanding contributions to expanding access to behavioral health care and services across New Mexico. The Alternative Response Unit has played a critical role in connecting individuals in crisis with appropriate behavioral health resources, reducing unnecessary emergency department visits, and strengthening community-based care.

The recognition highlights the dedication and collaboration of ARU personnel and partners in advancing compassionate, effective behavioral health responses in Santa Fe and beyond.

Congratulations to the Alternative Response Unit team on this well-deserved honor.
