DGA Statement on DeVos Family & RGA Flooding $7 Million of New Late Spending in Michigan Race for Governor

DGA Statement on DeVos Family & RGA Flooding $7 Million of New Late Spending in Michigan Race for Governor

Ahead of Donald Trump heading to Michigan, there are breaking reports revealing that John James is set to benefit from a late surge of $7 million that was sent to the Michigan GOP from a new, shady PAC affiliated with the RGA, including $2 million that was contributed from the DeVos family. This additional spending is on top of the $20 million that the RGA and a DeVos-backed Super PAC called Mission Michigan have already spent in Michigan for John James this year.

In response, DGA Communications Director Sam Newton stated: "John James spent his time in DC only looking out for himself and his billionaire donors like the DeVos family - and now they're flooding the state with a massive late surge of millions in the final 10 days to bail him out. This not only raises the stakes of this already consequential race for governor in a battleground state, but is also the latest proof that James can never be trusted to stand up for Michigan families. No matter how much James and his allies spend to spread lies, Michiganders know he's responsible for the high costs of gas, groceries, and health care and we need to keep our foot on the gas to make him a three-time statewide loser in November."
