The Greensboro Collaborative Action Network (GSO CAN) will hold its first Saturday community meeting to share updates, hear from partners, and provide a forum for community members to ask questions.
GSO CAN, a community-driven group focused on reducing violence in Greensboro, will host the meeting from 9-11 am, Saturday, June 27, at the Kellin Foundation, 4010 Walker Ave. All are welcome, and childcare is provided.
Launched by the City's Community Safety and Police departments in January 2026, GSO CAN brings together community organizations, public safety partners, public health experts, educators, business leaders, the local faith community, elected officials, and residents to do what the group's name implies: collaborate, take action, and build a network of community safety allies.
"This is a space for real conversation and collaboration," said GSO CAN Facilitator Ivey Ghee. "Bring your questions; bring your ideas, and bring your friends. Whether you've attended the meetings regularly or are a first-timer who is curious about getting involved, you're welcome at the table."
GSO CAN's five core goals are to address the root causes of violence, strengthen trust and collaboration, promote consistent interaction and engagement, and leverage public safety data to drive progress, and foster equity, safety, and resilience in all communities.
