2025 Cambridge Dance Party Will Be A Revolutionary Celebration

One of Cambridge's most beloved summer traditions is gearing up for its biggest year yet. On Friday, June 27, the City of Cambridge and Central Square Business Improvement District (BID) will host the 25th Annual Cambridge Dance Party in front of City Hall (795 Massachusetts Avenue) - and this year's event promises to be more revolutionary than ever.

With the theme "Revolutionary Reunion 250," the Dance Party honors 250 years of community, movement, and change - a spirited nod to both Cambridge's revolutionary roots and its ongoing cultural evolution.

This year's Dance Party will run until 11 p.m., expanding its reach and energy across Massachusetts Avenue to Prospect Street. The celebration kicks off with a Cambridge Senior Jam Session featuring A Trike Called Funk at the Cambridge Senior Center (806 Massachusetts Avenue) from 4 - 6 p.m. A family-friendly block party on Temple Street begins at 5 p.m. , followed by music and the Dance Party starting promptly at 6 p.m. in front of City Hall.

What to Expect:

  • An inclusive, free event welcoming people of all ages and backgrounds

  • Live local DJs spinning high-energy music all night (including DJ s P.A.C., Ed Word Galan, Rich Medina , and Tony Touch)

  • I lluminating interactive features, activities and dancing for all ages

  • A vibrant light show at sunset that transforms City Hall and its surrounding area into a glowing dance arena

  • Bike valets on both ends of the closed Mass Ave stretch for eco-friendly travel


Easily accessible by the MBTA Red Line, Cambridge City Hall is just steps away from Central Square. Rain or shine, thousands are expected to gather to celebrate what makes Cambridge unlike anywhere else: its history, diversity, and unstoppable community spirit.

The event is proudly organized by the City Manager's Office, Cambridge Arts, and the Central Square BID, with support from numerous City departments.
