Seattle Police have received updated information regarding a man who was injured when his car fell from a parking platform in the 800 block of 1st Avenue.
Despite extensive lifesaving efforts by medical professionals at Harborview Medical Center, the 77-year-old man succumbed to his injuries on April 6 and was pronounced dead.

Police Investigate Car that Plunges onto Apartment Patio
Police are investigating after a car plunged from a parking platform onto an apartment patio Sunday morning in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood.
Shortly before 9:00 a.m., officers responded to reports of a vehicle that had fallen onto a patio in the 800 block of 1st Avenue North. Officers arrived and found a 77-year-old man injured and trapped in his vehicle. Seattle Fire Department personnel extracted the man, provided medical aid, and transported him to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
The vehicle had gone over a cement parking bumper, through a metal railing, and dropped approximately 12 feet, landing upside down on the patio.
Detectives with the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad are working to determine the exact circumstances that led to the incident.
