Power Outage Impacts Approximately 2,700 Customers in Porter Ranch

Los Angeles (June 29, 2026) - The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) continues to respond to a power outage in the Porter Ranch community. The outage began at around 10:00 p.m. on June 28, 2026 and crews continue to work round-the-clock to restore as quickly and safely as possible. Crews have been actively working overnight and remain on site to assess and repair the issue.

Electrical workers are actively working to repair failed equipment including large underground vaults. Handling underground equipment requires complex repairs thereby taking more time.

LADWP understands the impact this outage may have on residents and businesses and appreciates the community's patience as work continues. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
