Samsara Verified Safest Drivers: Meet the 2025 honorees

Professional drivers make choices all day long that protect the people around them. They slow down before a tight curve, make room for other cars to merge, and keep a safe distance in bad weather. These smart decisions often go unnoticed, but they keep the world moving safely.

Safety is central to everything we do at Samsara. Our customers drive more than 80 billion miles per year, and together, we've helped prevent over 250,000 accidents. This year, we're proud to honor the people keeping our roads safe with the inaugural Samsara Verified Safest Drivers list.

This recognition highlights drivers with exceptional safety records across industries like transportation, construction, field services, passenger transit, manufacturing, and more. Each honoree drove at least 10,000 miles with the fewest safety incidents among our customers, avoiding risky behaviors like sudden braking, unsafe turns, following too closely, or driving without a seatbelt. They work in different industries, across regions, and drive all kinds of routes, but they share the same high standard for safety and consistency.

Selection methodology

We used Samsara safety data from June 30, 2024, to June 30, 2025, to identify the Samsara Verified Safest Drivers. To qualify, drivers had to:

• Log at least 10,000 miles during the qualifying period

• Be part of a Samsara customer fleet with at least one AI safety detection enabled as of June 30, 2025

We ranked drivers by their Safety Event Rate, which is the number of safety events per mile driven. Safety events include crashes, harsh acceleration or braking, harsh turns, following too closely, forward collision warnings, inattentive driving, mobile device usage, obstructed camera, rolling stops, lane departures, and no seatbelt use. From there, we selected the top-performing driver from each customer. In the event of a tie, total miles driven determined the winner.
