WASHINGTON - Senator John Hoeven, a senior member of the Senate Agriculture Committee and a member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, today issued the following statement after the Trump administration issued a temporary waiver allowing the nationwide sale of E15 and increasing the availability of E10 ahead of the summer driving months.
"This waiver is a good step to provide relief to American consumers and a boost to the nation's agriculture producers. By leveraging the affordable energy produced by our nation's farmers, we can reduce the price at the pump and support greater U.S. energy security. At the same time, we will continue working to pass legislation that enables the sale of E15 on a permanent, year-round, nationwide basis, which will give greater choice to consumers and open domestic market opportunities for U.S. biofuels," said Hoeven.
