A Text Amendment to the Chapter 111, Unified Land Development Code (ULDC) of the Baytown Code of Ordinances to revise Divisions 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 3.3, 3.4 and 3.6 of the ULDC, making general corrections in consistency with the current code as well as the newly adopted code
Applicants
City of Baytown
Background
The City Council adopted a new Unified Land Development Code (ULDC) on September 12, 2024 with an effective date of January 1, 2025. During the public hearing and approval processes staff informed Planning & Zoning Commission and City Council that there would be additional "clean-up" amendments forthcoming as staff had more time to review and test the code. Staff has identified a series of typos, inconsistencies within the adopted code, and missing information from the old code that should have carried over to the newly adopted code. The first of these amendments was adopted by City Council on December 12, 2024 and became effective on January 1, 2025 seamlessly with the new code.
