Melinda Hart Named Digital Media Coordinator

Melinda Hart has been named Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation Digital Media Coordinator announced Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation Executive Vice President Bryan Wright.

Hart's role will be within TFBF's communications team where she will be focused on the organization's digital presence, including social media outreach as well as website management. She will work to enhance the voice of agriculture across digital platforms while promoting members' stories and sharing the value of Tennessee's most important industry.

"Social media is the way of the world these days," said Wright. "We know our presence is critical on these platforms and we're excited to have Melinda join our team to enhance these efforts and take our digital content to the next level. Her experience in the agriculture industry these past several years will bode well for our message, and we look forward to her joining our communications team."

Born and raised in Henry County, Hart grew up on her family's beef cattle farm. She was very active in 4-H and FFA, showing livestock and serving as the Tennessee FFA State Secretary. After graduating from Henry County High School in 2013, she attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where she majored in agricultural communications with a minor in animal science. While in college, Hart interned in TFBF's communications division. After graduating, Hart went to work for the Tennessee Cattlemen's Association where she has spent the past almost 8 years leading and developing their youth programs.

"I'm grateful for the opportunity to step into this new role and share the story of Tennessee agriculture," said Hart. "I look forward to learning, growing and working alongside a team dedicated to strengthening our state's most important industry."

Hart and her husband, Jared, currently reside in Springville where they are proud to be a part of her multigenerational family farm.
