Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė and the Government and people of Lithuania send their sincere greetings to Japan on National Day and the birthday of His Majesty the Emperor.
"Lithuania highly values the close and friendly relations between our countries, built on mutual respect, shared democratic principles, and a common commitment to peace and the rules-based international order.
We appreciate Japan's important role in promoting stability and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond, as well as its principled support for Ukraine. In today's complex security environment, cooperation between like-minded partners such as Lithuania and Japan remains essential," reads the message of greetings.
The Prime Minister also congratulates Prime Minister of Japan Sanae Takaichi on the renewed confidence expressed by the Japanese people in the recent parliamentary elections. She expresses her conviction that countries will continue to strengthen the strategic partnership grounded in shared values and common interests.
