Republic Services to perform route reviews

To support sustainability and comply with California state law (SB 1383), Republic Services will be conducting waste container inspections from May 15 to June 4, 2025.

What's Happening:
Republic Services Sustainability Advisors will briefly inspect garbage, recycling, and organics bins throughout the city. These checks help reduce contamination and ensure waste is properly sorted and processed.

Why It Matters:
Contamination happens when the wrong items go into a bin-for example:

  • Plastic bags in recycling or organics

  • Food waste in the garbage

  • Trash in recycling or organics

If contamination is found, you'll receive an "Oops Tag" on your door with details. Follow-up outreach may occur if needed.
