Important Information Regarding the Upcoming CRA and City Commission Meetings

The City will be conducting a CRA and Regular City Commission meeting on Wednesday, December 10th at City Hall, 2600 Hollywood Blvd Room 219. The CRA Board Meeting will be held at 9 a.m. with Citizens' Comments at that time. The Regular City Commission Meeting will be held at 1 p.m. with Citizens' comments at 5 p.m.

In-Person Attendance Guidelines for 4 PM Time-Certain Item

The City Commission will consider the Land Use Plan Amendment (LUPA) for the proposed Portofino Hollywood Project. The presentation, public comment and Commission discussion are scheduled as a time-certain agenda item at 4 p.m. To learn more about the proposal, visit www.PortofinoHollywood.com.

The following procedures are in place to ensure public safety and everyone who wishes to speak has the opportunity to do so. Anyone who plans to speak must complete a public comment card. Cards will be available at the City Clerk check-in desk past the security station on the first floor of City Hall beginning at 7 a.m. The deadline to submit a public comment card for the 4 p.m. item will be extended by 25 minutes to 4:30 p.m.

Depending on the number of cards submitted, attendees will be directed to seating inside City Hall or asked to wait off-site. To manage capacity, 161 total public seats will be available inside City Hall: 70 in the Chambers, 40 in the second-floor lobby and 51 in room 215. Seating in the Chambers will be filled first, followed by the lobby and then room 215. Once capacity is reached, all others will be asked to wait off-site.

Those waiting off-site will be brought into the Chambers in groups of ten to provide their comments. After speaking, they will be escorted to the lobby, and the next group will be brought inside.

When called, speakers should approach the podium, state their name and address, identify any clients they represent and then offer their comments. After speaking, individuals may return to their seat or may be asked to exit the Chambers if capacity has been reached. Speaking time cannot be transferred to another person.

A level of decorum must be maintained, in accordance with the Rules of Procedure for City Commission Meetings. Attendees must remain seated unless called upon, may not clap, call out comments, or make inappropriate hand or facial gestures during the meeting. Signs are not permitted. Harassing, obscene or untruthful statements, as well as slanderous comments about personnel or elected officials, will not be tolerated.

Citizens' Comments is planned for 5 p.m. and is reserved for those wishing to speak on items other than the Portofino Hollywood Project.
