A multi-municipal plan to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety in Southwest Butler County received the Board of Supervisors' full endorsement.
The Board approved a contract with AECOM to develop the Southwest Butler Multi-Municipal Safety Action Plan. Cranberry will join Jackson Township and Harmony and Zelienople boroughs in overseeing the plan's creation.
A grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation's SS4A Program supports the creation of the plan. A projected timeline includes numerous stakeholder interviews and surveys, with adoption of the plan set for spring 2026.
