Baker McKenzie Defeats Motion for Preliminary Injunction in Trade Secrets Dispute

Global law firm Baker McKenzie achieved a significant litigation victory on behalf of ImageFIRST Healthcare Laundry Specialists in a trade secrets dispute pending in federal district court in Pennsylvania. Following an all-day evidentiary hearing, the team successfully defeated Cintas Corporation's attempt to enjoin ImageFIRST and certain of its employees from purported trade secret misappropriation.

The Court denied Cintas' motion for preliminary injunction in full, finding that Cintas failed to meet its burden of demonstrating misappropriation or imminent harm, and delivered a decisive, early-stage win for ImageFIRST. Baker McKenzie's advocacy and strategic preparation proved critical in securing this outcome for the client.

The Baker McKenzie team is led by Employment & Compensation partners Robin Samuel and Bill Dugan and Dispute Resolution associate Allen Al-Haj. The team also includes members of the firm's Antitrust & Competition, Employment & Compensation, Litigation & Government Enforcement, and Transactional practice groups.

This result underscores Baker McKenzie's strength in trade secrets and restrictive covenant litigation, particularly in high-pressure proceedings, and reflects the Firm's ability to mobilize cross-functional teams to deliver results in complex disputes.
