Media Prima Berhad welcomes nine new presenters

As TV3 celebrated its 41st anniversary, Media Prima Berhad introduced nine new presenters who began appearing across key news programmes including Buletin Pagi, Buletin 1.30, and Buletin Utama. The fresh faces-Izabelle Choong, Asyiha Ariffin, Zati Nizam, Vinsla Satiran, Deerina Sheikh Faisal, Douglas Elliot David, Hirsham Azmi, Fahmi Tajuddin, and Afrina Romzi-brought a new energy to the channel's news broadcasts from 1 June 2025.

The selection process was highly competitive, with over 800 applicants taking part in an open audition late last year. TV3's News and Current Affairs team narrowed the pool to just 10 candidates for final consideration, with five ultimately chosen through this rigorous screening. Senior Executive Producer Mior Abdul Malek Raiyani highlighted that the new presenters come from diverse backgrounds and were trained to uphold the 'house style' that has defined TV3's news presentation since 1994.

One of the new recruits, Fahmi Tajuddin, shared the challenges of adapting to TV3's distinctive news reading style. Having trained at TV3 in 2020 and worked at a pay TV news agency, Fahmi described how he studied past broadcasts to master the channel's unique intonation and delivery. This blend of tradition and fresh talent aims to maintain TV3's trusted identity while equipping the new presenters with strong journalism skills for the future.
