06/05/2025
New Orleans is our home, and we are Entergy customers too. At Entergy New Orleans, we are committed to providing reliable power at an affordable price. We take this responsibility seriously-and now more than ever, our teams are working diligently to keep your bills as low as possible.
Keeping your rates as low as possible; 21%below the national average
Whether you're a grocery store owner, a school administrator, managing your household's expenses, or overseeing a hospital or manufacturing plant --- every dollar in your budget matters. That's why we're proud to say last year our rates were ~21% below the national average.
Data source: 21% average is sourced from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. EIA rate comparison data does not include any securitized riders, taxes or fees. Securitized riders typically include storm restoration costs, for example.
Entergy New Orleans is powering our city, in more ways than one. Beyond delivering reliable, affordable energy today-we're energizing our future by investing in a stronger, more resilient future for New Orleans.
Powering our future
The first phase of our Accelerated Resilience Plan is now underway, strengthening more than 3,000 structures and upgrading over 60 miles of power lines to better withstand extreme weather. These improvements are critical to reducing outages and improving restoration times after storms.
We're also modernizing our power generation with advanced technologies and a diverse mix of energy sources. This approach not only supports our clean energy goals but also helps us keep costs low. By staying flexible, we can better manage fuel price fluctuations and continue to deliver affordable power to our customers.
8 Ways We're Keeping Energy Costs Low
A community partner
With over 2,000 members in the Entergy family, Entergy New Orleans is deeply rooted in the community. This is our home. As inflation drives up daily costs, we remain focused on limiting the impact on your energy bill while maximizing the support we provide.
Through our partnership community organizations, we put money back into our customers' pockets when they need it the most. During the 2024 tax season, Entergy assisted low-income customers across our service area in securing $55 million in federal tax returns. Additionally, we help customers maximize their savings by connecting them with federal funding resources such as LIHEAP and Single Stop. We also offer The Power to Care, our bill assistance program for qualifying customers.
Entergy offers billing support for customers facing financial hardships. Our Bill Toolkit provides valuable resources and available assistance options to help customers better manage their energy bills. Whether you have questions about your bill, need additional time to pay, or seeking financial assistance, our one-stop-shop connects you to available programs and services.
Through our Energize New Orleans initiative, we're committed to powering our city today while laying the foundation for sustainable growth tomorrow. This effort goes beyond delivering electricity-it focuses driving economic development, supporting job creation, and ensuring our customers have access to the resources they need.
