DEXSTA Federal Credit Union recently hosted its second community shred event of the year at its Middletown branch. The event brought together members and residents to promote community security, sustainability, and connection.
With identity theft and fraud on the rise, DEXSTA provided a convenient and secure way for participants to safely dispose of sensitive documents, such as old tax forms and bank statements. Professional shredding services were on-site to ensure materials were properly handled, resulting in the recycling of approximately 6.5 tons of paper.
After dropping off their documents, attendees were greeted by DEXSTA team members offering soft pretzels and a chance to spin the DEXSTA prize wheel. The event also gave staff an opportunity to reconnect with longtime members, including those who have been part of the DEXSTA community since its early days at the DuPont Experimental Station.
Events like the shred day reflect DEXSTA's ongoing commitment to serving and protecting its members while strengthening community ties. Attendees shared their appreciation for the opportunity to conveniently declutter and protect their sensitive personal information.
