The 2026 ADAC GSE Rally Cup season schedule has been confirmed, with the world's first all-electric one-make rally cup set to enter an exciting new phase following the successful completion of official testing for the new Mokka GSE Rally.

Beginning on 29th May at ELE Rally, Netherlands, and concluding on 29th November at Rallye Spa, Belgium, the renamed 2026 ADAC GSE Rally Cup will see seven rallies held in six countries, marking the most international calendar in the competition's history.

Reflecting the growing appeal of electric rallying, the championship will visit a mix of established and iconic events, including Rallye Vosges Grand-Est for the fourth time, a return to Rallye Weiz in Austria, two rounds of the German Rally Championship (DRM), and a first-ever appearance at the legendary Rally Sanremo in Italy.

Jörg Schrott, Head of Opel-Vauxhall Motorsport, said: "With events in six countries, this schedule is the most enticing in the history of the competition. The ADAC GSE Rally Cup is entering its sixth season with more strength than ever, thanks to the new Mokka GSE Rally set to thrill both participants and fans with its impressive performance, as well as an upgraded charging infrastructure to ensure even more special stage kilometres. This season, everyone can look forward to even more electric action."

Official testing completed as Mokka GSE Rally meets the drivers for the first time

Ahead of its competitive debut, the new Mokka GSE Rally successfully completed official customer testing from the 8th to the 10th of December at the Pferdsfeld Test Centre in Germany, a facility offering extensive and demanding test facilities for rally cars.

The highlight of the test was the current development vehicle, equipped with the latest technical specification. Feedback from drivers was unanimously positive, with particular praise for the car's enormous performance, perfectly balanced chassis, and the responsiveness of its 281hp and 345Nm electric powertrain.

Vauxhall rally driver Ioan Lloyd completed his first test of the Mokka GSE Rally, driving three cars at different stages of development back-to-back to understand the vehicle's evolution. The session marked a key milestone for Vauxhall's debut ADAC GSE Rally Cup entry as preparations continue for the 2026 season.

Commenting on Ioan's performance from the official testing, Jörg Schrott, Head of Opel-Vauxhall Motorsport, commented: "He [Ioan Lloyd] is a very talented young driver. The way he approaches such a test program shows his attitude: professional, focused, and calm. I am sure he will be fighting for the top places in the ADAC GSE Rally Cup in 2026."

Ioan Lloyd, Vauxhall GSE Rally Driver, said: "It was a really encouraging test in Germany, and I'm excited to build on this momentum heading into the 2026 season. I was impressed by how predictable and stable the car felt. The Mokka GSE is incredibly confidence-inspiring for a driver and genuinely exciting to drive. I can't wait for the new season."

New Mokka GSE Rally ready to take competition to next level

From 2026, competitors will contest the ADAC GSE Rally Cup in the new Mokka GSE Rally, developed in line with the FIA's new eRally5 regulations. With 281hp, 345Nm of torque and advanced motorsport technology, it delivers performance on a par with Rally4 machinery and more than doubles the output of the outgoing Corsa Rally Electric.

The new season will also mark the first time Vauxhall will enter the all-electric one-make cup, with the brand taking advantage of its great British motorsport pedigree by fielding a full works car, driven by exciting young British rally driver, Ioan Lloyd.

23-year-old Ioan Lloyd, from Llandysul in West Wales, has been rallying since he was 14 and is one of the country's most talented up-and-coming drivers, having finished runner-up in the 2025 Junior European Rally Championship.
