Flags Lowered for Eastern State Hospital Security Guard Colleen Bass

Mayor Lisa Brown has ordered flags at all City facilities to be lowered to half-staff to coincide with Governor Bob Ferguson's directive that state and U.S. flags at all state agency facilities be lowered in remembrance of Eastern State Hospital Security Guard Colleen Bass.
"Our community is heartbroken by Colleen's loss. The City of Spokane extends its deepest sympathies to her family and friends, as well as her colleagues at Eastern State," said Mayor Brown.
Bass was killed in the line of duty on Saturday, Sept. 27. Flags will remain at half-staff until close of business.
