On September 7, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, attended and addressed the military parade held at Independence Square in the capital on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of State Independence.
At the outset, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, sincerely congratulated the entire people of Tajikistan, officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces, personnel of other military structures, employees of law enforcement agencies, veterans of military service, and all participants of the military parade on the occasion of this great and sacred national celebration.
It was emphasized that during the 35 years of independence, Tajikistan has traversed an extremely difficult and challenging path and overcome severe historical trials. In particular, the first years of independence were an exceptionally complex period for the country.
It was noted that during those difficult days, restoring the constitutional order, ensuring peace and stability, maintaining law and order, upholding the rule of law, and achieving national unity had become matters of historic importance.
According to President Emomali Rahmon, despite all the difficulties, the Tajik people and their conscious, honorable, and patriotic sons, thanks to national wisdom and a strong sense of responsibility, were able to protect their national state from destruction and the Tajik nation from fragmentation, ensure political stability, and lay a reliable foundation for the country's sustainable development.
His Excellency Emomali Rahmon particularly emphasized the outstanding role played by military personnel of the Armed Forces and employees of law enforcement agencies in fulfilling this historic task and destiny-defining mission, especially in protecting the constitutional order, state security, the peace and tranquility of the people, and the stability of law and order.
In view of the highly complex and sensitive conditions of the modern world, President Emomali Rahmon called upon the military personnel of the Armed Forces and employees of law enforcement agencies to demonstrate a high sense of responsibility.
It was emphasized that compliance with the law and the requirements of military regulations, continuous improvement of professional competence, a strong sense of responsibility, and loyalty to the Motherland, the state, and the people of Tajikistan constitute the most important and sacred duty of every officer and soldier.
Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon described the military parade as a symbol of high discipline and readiness, as well as the loyalty and devotion of the brave and courageous sons of Tajikistan to the state, the Motherland, and the people of the country.
"The history of 35 years of independence has demonstrated that the officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies, like a reliable shield, have defended the security and stability of the state and the peaceful and tranquil life of the people of Tajikistan, thereby earning the respect and pride of the citizens of the country," the Leader of the Nation stated.
Concluding his address, Emomali Rahmon expressed confidence that the military personnel of the Armed Forces and employees of law enforcement agencies, as loyal and devoted sons of the people of Tajikistan, would continue to fulfill their duties faithfully, with a high sense of responsibility and a strong spirit of patriotism.
More than 27,000 personnel took part in the military parade dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. They included officers and soldiers of units of the Armed Forces, personnel of security and law enforcement structures, servicemen of the mobilization reserve, female military personnel, veterans of security structures, humanitarian warriors, and other military units of the Dushanbe garrison. They lined up at Independence Square in the capital with a strong sense of pride in the independent state of Tajikistan, loyalty to the people and the Motherland, and deep respect for the state and the nation.
The personnel participating in the ceremonial military procession warmly and sincerely welcomed President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Army General H.E. Emomali Rahmon, in accordance with military protocol and with due respect.
Minister of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan, Colonel-General Emomali Sobirzoda, reported to President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Army General H.E. Emomali Rahmon, on the readiness of the units of the security structures of the Dushanbe garrison and their participation in the military procession.
The Head of State sincerely congratulated those present on the 35th anniversary of the great national celebration of State Independence.
The military procession began on the order of the Commander of the Military Parade and Head of the Dushanbe Garrison, Major General Husein Shokirzoda.
At the beginning of this grand military parade, held in the history of independent national statehood, standard-bearers of the Honor Guard Company of the Ministry of Defense, with a profound sense of national pride and reverence for the symbols of statehood, carried the State Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan-the symbol of the independence of our beloved country-onto the parade ground.
It should be recalled that respect for the State Flag dates back to the 16th Session of the Supreme Council, when it was adopted, and to the particular reverence shown by the Leader of the Nation toward this sacred symbol of statehood. The State Flag embodies the glorious history and bright present and future of independent Tajikistan and inspires in every patriotic citizen a sense of pride, responsibility, and loyalty to the Motherland.
This was followed by the solemn military procession, accompanied by the ceremonial music of the Combined Military Orchestra and led by the standard-bearers. The bold and courageous steps of the officers and soldiers, their high level of marching and drill skills, and the readiness of the personnel of the participating units demonstrated their high level of professional preparedness and loyalty to their military oath.
The military parade, held with special solemnity and grandeur on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of State Independence, embodied respect for national values, the loyalty and sincerity of the country's servicemen toward the ancestral land, the achievements of the period of independence of our beloved Motherland, and appreciation for the worthy services of Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon.
This magnificent event once again demonstrated that safeguarding the achievements of independence, strengthening peace and national unity, and ensuring the security of the state and society are among the sacred duties of every serviceman and employee of the security structures.
