Bohnert Joins Cape Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine

Saint Francis Healthcare System is pleased to welcome Courtney A. Bohnert, MS, PA-C, RD, LD to Cape Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine. Bohnert graduated from the Physician Assistant Program at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL, in 2026, and is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She will be caring for patients with acute and chronic pulmonary disease and providing nutritional support for patients with breathing difficulties.

Bohnert says her ultimate goal is to be of service to others. "Difficulty breathing can be scary and sometimes life-threatening. Many times, patients have trouble eating when breathing is of concern. My additional background as a registered dietitian allows me to ensure patients are getting adequate nutrition when experiencing a respiratory exacerbation."

The providers at Cape Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine deliver specialty care to patients with problems related to breathing and sleeping. Highly skilled providers work in conjunction with respiratory therapists and sleep technologists to offer comprehensive care, including the treatment of asthma, chronic cough, cystic fibrosis and others; assessments of sleep disorders such as sleep apnea; sleep studies; respiratory therapy; and general pulmonology care.
