Partnership Home needs volunteers to count and survey people living in unsheltered settings throughout Tarrant and Parker counties.
The local effort is part of the nationwide Point in Time Count, an annual event held in January to provide a snapshot of what homelessness looks like in one night for every community in the country. This year's count will take place Thursday, Jan. 23.
Partnership Home needs about 500 volunteers. Volunteers can sign up as individuals or create a team. If you don't have a team, you'll be matched with other individual volunteers.
The ask: Volunteers are assigned a route to canvass, identify and interview people staying outside. Mandatory training will be provided to all volunteers via the web and on the night of the count. Teams will be accompanied by police officers.

Event details: On Jan. 23, check-in will begin at 6 p.m. and mandatory training will begin at 7 p.m. Volunteers can sign up as individuals or create a team. Volunteers are assigned a route to canvass, identify and interview people staying outside.
What's next: Each volunteer must complete a participant agreement and waiver form.
