The Mountain View Police Department's Crimes Against Persons (CAP) Unit has been actively investigating a perjury case. Following a thorough investigation, a warrant was issued on Sept. 9, 2025, for seven counts of California Penal Code 118(a) - Perjury. The perjury charges stem from Mr. Herchen's involvement in a recent wrongful death civil case. At this time, we have no additional information to provide beyond this arrest for perjury.
