City of Annapolis Partners to Host Free Legal Services and Overdose Prevention Awareness Workshop
ANNAPOLIS, MD (September 29, 2025) - The City of Annapolis Mayor's Office NapTown Anti-Dope Move(meant) (N.A.M.), in partnership with Community Legal Services and the Maryland Department of Labor Division of Workforce Development and Adult Learning, will host a free Legal Services and Overdose Prevention Awareness Workshop at Michael E. Busch, Anne Arundel County Public Library
1414 West Street, Annapolis, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
This event provides residents with a unique opportunity to connect directly with legal representatives, employers, workforce training specialists, and community service providers-all in one place.
Services Available to Participants:
One-on-one legal consultations to answer questions and file petitions.
Workforce development sign-ups, including training and career advancement opportunities.
Direct access to community resource vendors, offering information and assistance with:
Job placement and career development
Educational opportunities
Mental health and substance use services
Crisis response programs
Utility and rental assistance
And more
In addition, N.A.M. will lead an in-person workshop on overdose prevention awareness, designed to educate residents about the opioid crisis, share strategies for recognizing and responding to overdoses, and provide life-saving information to prevent fatal outcomes in Annapolis.
Parking is available on-site. This event is free and open to the public.
