On behalf of the United States, I congratulate the people of Trinidad and Tobago as they celebrate 64 years of independence.
The United States and Trinidad and Tobago share a longstanding partnership built on a mutual commitment to regional prosperity. Today, our relationship is stronger than ever as we work together to combat transnational crime, strengthen regional security, as well as support energy resilience and cooperation that benefits both our countries.
As you commemorate this important milestone, we celebrate the enduring friendship between our nations and look forward to continuing to advance our shared priorities and build an even stronger partnership in the years ahead.
