On behalf of the Italian Government, I express solidarity and sincere sympathy in light of the dramatic news coming from Berlin.
Italy condemns and firmly opposes all forms of hate and extremism, working at all levels to defend the freedom and security of our citizens.
Our heartfelt thoughts are with the victim's family and we wish a speedy recovery to the many people who were injured. We stand with Germany and the German people.
