Olive-Harvey College’s International Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa, Earns International Recognition

Olive-Harvey's Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Lambda Iota Chapter received multiple prestigious awards for excellence at the PTK Catalyst Awards. These achievements placed them among the top-performing PTK chapters worldwide-an accomplishment that reflects both their dedication and commitment to student success.

Among the chapter's most notable achievements is the Distinguished College Project Award. Their project, Empowering First-Year Students Through Peer Mentoring, ranked in the Top 50 chapters internationally. The College Project is designed to strengthen collaboration between Olive-Harvey's PTK chapter and college leadership by working on a project that supports the college's mission and priorities. Through this initiative, Olive-Harvey students demonstrated the power of peer support in helping first-year students navigate college, build confidence, and stay on track toward their goals.

In addition, the chapter earned the Distinguished Chapter Award, which recognizes chapters that excel in both the Honors in Action and College Project Award categories. By achieving a combined score that placed them in the Top 50 internationally, the Lambda Iota Chapter has solidified its reputation as a leader in academic excellence, service, and student engagement.

These awards highlight the strength of Olive-Harvey College's student leaders and their commitment to creating meaningful change on campus. Their work not only supports fellow students but also strengthens the broader college community.

City Colleges congratulates the Lambda Iota Chapter on this outstanding accomplishment and looks forward to seeing their continued impact in the years ahead.
