Sweet, young dog rescued just in time needs a loving forever home

While rescuing dogs from a shelter in San Bernardino, Mission Viejo Animal Services staff came across Wendy, a 3-year-old Labrador Retriever mix. There was something about her sweet face and gentle demeanor that immediately drew in the team. After meeting and falling in love with her, staff learned that Wendy needed to be placed by September 17 - that very same day. It was fate that our staff members were there to rescue Wendy and save her life.

Wendy has a quiet strength and untold stories. She recently had a litter of puppies - which have all found loving homes in San Bernardino - and has some scars on her face from an unknown past. She's naturally shy and may take a little time to feel comfortable in new surroundings and around new people. But once she feels safe and at ease, her sweet, gentle, and loving personality truly shines through.
